A new day shape will be in place from September 2016.
Students should arrive on site by 08.45, ready for a prompt start to the day at 08.55.
On arrival at school, all coats and other outdoor clothing should be left in the locker provided for each student. Outdoor clothing is not permitted in classrooms. If a locker key is lost, a replacement should be requested from Student Services or the Main Office at a cost of £2.00.
The day commences with a period for Collective Worship and/or contemplation of our Thought for the Day. This is followed by five lessons of 60 minutes duration; we have a morning break of 15 minutes, and a 1 hour whole school lunch.
The normal school day ends at 15.30 and after-school activities run from 15.35.
For the benefit of their health, students are encouraged to walk or cycle to school; proper cycle parking facilities are provided. There are school bus services available for journeys to and from the Headland; for students living in other areas of the town, the school is served by the popular No. 6 bus route.
