Mike Brogan Artist in Residence
Mike was at St. Hild's for three days to work as an artist in residence, making pieces on the wheel, demonstrating methods and techniques and talking to pupils and staff about ceramics and its history. Mike Brogan is a highly skilled practitioner specialising in Studio Ceramics; he works in a studio environment making pots, sculpture and other clay forms by hand made methods.
Mike has exhibited many times and he has worked as a maker, teacher and consultant. His work is in the collections at 10 Downing Street, The Vatican and Durham Cathedral and there are many private collectors of Mike’s work including international rugby player Johnny Wilkinson and Downton Abbey actor Peter Egan. We were delighted to have him in school, and hope he returns to work with our pupils.
