Further clarification on PE kit:

As you are aware it is a requirement that children come to School in the School PE kit on days where Core PE is timetabled. Pupils do not need blazers on PE days, but can still wear outdoor coats to travel to school. This will be one day a week from Monday 7th September.

Pupils should not travel to school in just shorts and T-shirts. In cases where pupils do not have the full school PE uniform they can wear a suitable alternative (plain navy/black tracksuit bottoms and navy/black long-sleeved top) until October half-term. This is to acknowledge that some pupils may not have the warmer items of kit that will be needed to travel to school in and to support Parents/ Carers.

After October half term we would appreciate your support to ensure all pupils have the full School PE uniform.

Trainers need to be suitable for outdoor physical activity; no spikes or boots are required.

We look forward to welcoming your child safely back to physical activity and will continue to monitor this situation using guidance from our partners at the Association for Physical Education (AfPE).

For Year 10 & 11 pupils who are studying a KS4 PE qualification will sometimes require kit on additional days. This will be confirmed with at least one week notice by your child's PE teacher.
