Enrichment & What's on
at
St. Hild's Church of England School
Enrichment: the action of improving or enhancing the quality or value of something.
Enrichment is a great way to engage pupils in the wider community and teach important life-skills. A successful enrichment programme will promote the life-skills needed for everyday life, develop “soft skills” that employers and universities look for, while also giving students the opportunity to find out more about their interests and passions. Skills such as teamwork, negotiation and persuasion, problem solving, leadership, organisation and perseverance are all essential for our young people today.
At St. Hild’s Church of England School we believe in preparing our pupils for the future by providing a range of enrichment opportunities to gain new experiences, develop life skills and pursue interests. We believe enrichment promotes employability, academic attainment and teaches students the skills they need to make good, informed choices.
Enrichment Activities
at St. Hild’s Church of England School
The ethos of enrichment at St. Hild’s Church of England School centres around our core values of Care, Equality, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
Pupils can choose to take part in a wide range of activities that are offered by the different curriculum areas of PE, Music, Art and Drama, Humanities, Technology and the core subjects of Maths, English and Science. Clubs run on a morning, lunch time and after school with additional curriculum linked visits running across the academic year.
Virtual Enrichment
Due to the way that St. Hild’s Church of England School is working under the governments Covid-19 restrictions our normal enrichment programme is currently on hold.
This doesn’t mean that opportunities to develop and enrich our lives are not available.
Please see our links below for home enrichment which will allow you to visit all kinds of museums, aquariums and castles direct from the comfort of your own living room.
