Home/School Partnership
A genuine partnership between home and school helps our young people reach their full potential.
Our job in helping students to learn well and develop as responsible members of the community is made much easier when we have the support of parents and carers over routine matters such as uniform and also any problems which can sometimes arise.
Everyday Contact
Normal everyday contact with school will be by telephone. Our ultra-modern telephone system receives a large number of calls daily, the majority of which are parents and carers calling on a specific student-related matter

Parents/Carers Contact Details
Make sure we have your up-to-date details!
Possibly the most important thing you can do is to ensure that the contact details we hold are kept up-to-date.
For example, if you move house, or have changes at work, or acquire a new mobile number, St. Hild's needs to know!
Otherwise we could, in an emergency, be trying to contact you based on information which is out-of-date!
So please ensure we always have accurate, up-to-date information!
SchoolCal – School to Home Communication App
SchoolCal is used to send you important information, such as details of Parents’ Evenings, publication of progress reports, examinations, start and end of term arrangements, emergency situations (e.g. in periods of extreme weather) and other important information which crops up from time to time. All messages are sent to ONE email address.
We aim to ensure that all messages you receive will be relevant to you; for example, if we are sending information regarding a forthcoming school trip, it will be sent only to those affected. Your personal information will remain securely within our school information management system, and you will not receive any “spam” or unwanted messages from St Hild’s.
IF YOU ARE NOT RECEIVING TEXT MESSAGES FROM US, IT IS BECAUSE YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED FOR THIS SERVICE.
Absence Procedure
If your child is going to be absent from school, please telephone the school 01429 273041 Ext. 1 (by 08.30 if possible).
If any child is absent and we do not know why, we will telephone you to find out the reason.
When your child returns to school after a period of absence, we require a letter from parents/carers confirming the reason for the absence.
